Accessibility
The independence of a free people belongs to all of them. This site is built to be used by everyone, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology.
Our standard
Texas Nationalist Movement, Inc. is committed to making tnm.me usable by the widest possible range of Texans. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.2 AA is the standard most widely referenced in U.S. accessibility practice, and it is the bar we hold this site to as we build and expand it.
What that means in practice
We design and develop tnm.me so that you can:
- Navigate the site by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link at the top of each page.
- Use a screen reader to reach the links, buttons, form fields, and landmarks, with meaningful labels, headings in a logical order, and descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Read body text and interface elements at a contrast ratio that meets or exceeds the AA threshold, in both the light and dark theme.
- Resize text and zoom the page up to 200% without loss of content or function, and read comfortably on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop.
- Trigger a reduced-motion experience: when your operating system requests reduced motion, we suppress non-essential animation and never gate content behind it.
- Fill out forms with clear labels, helpful error messages, and inputs that work with browser and assistive-technology autofill.
The work is ongoing
Accessibility is not a one-time certification. As we add pages and features, we test with keyboard navigation, with screen readers, and against automated and manual WCAG checks, and we treat accessibility defects as defects to be fixed. Some third-party content, embedded media, or documents linked from this site may not yet fully meet our target; where that is the case, we work to remediate it or to provide an accessible alternative.
Report a barrier
If you encounter a barrier on tnm.me, anything that prevents you from reading content, completing an action, or using a feature, we want to hear about it and we will work to fix it. Please email accessibility@thetnm.org with a description of the problem, the page or URL where it occurred, and the browser, device, and assistive technology you were using. If you need information from this site in an alternative format, or need an accommodation to participate in the movement, contact us at the same address.
