Texas Nationalist Movement

The Referendum & Transition

What is the very first step that has to happen?

Before any bill, any vote, any negotiation: organized Texans. The very first step is building the committed base that makes everything else possible. Capacity comes first, and the single most useful thing any one Texan can do right now is get counted and get plugged in.

Capacity before everything

Independence is built, not declared, and it is built in a specific order. The first move is not the referendum. It is assembling the people. A movement that tries to win a vote it has not built the base for loses that vote. So the foundational work is signing Texans up, putting them on record, and organizing them into a force the Legislature cannot ignore. Sam Houston did not declare victory at San Jacinto. He built the army, and then the eighteen minutes took care of themselves.

It does not take everyone, it takes a committed core

The encouraging part is that the first step does not require a majority. The research on how movements actually win is clear: a committed, organized core, a fraction of the whole population, can move the entire structure when it is focused and sequenced well. Texas has roughly 15.8 million reliable voters, and support already polls around 60 percent. The first step is not persuading the last skeptic. It is converting existing support into organized, committed numbers.

What that looks like for one person

In practical terms, the first step has a face. Become a Texian and get on the record. Add your name to the more than 633,000 Texans already counted. Then do the thing that multiplies it: bring others, plug into the organized effort, and turn quiet support into visible, countable weight. Pressure on the Legislature is built one Texan at a time, and it starts with you deciding to be one of them.

Why this is the step that unlocks the rest

Everything downstream depends on this. The bill passes when the pressure peaks, and the pressure is just organized Texans made visible. Win the vote, and the margin comes from the base built now. Secure independence, and the mandate behind the negotiators is the same base, speaking through the ballot. The first step is the seed of every step after it.

The bottom line

The very first step is to build capacity, and the very first thing you can do is get counted and get organized. Independence starts not with a declaration but with a Texan deciding to stand up and be counted. That step is available today.

Texas First. Texas Forever.

Texas should govern Texas. Be counted.
