Daniel Miller

Daniel Miller founded the Texas Nationalist Movement on November 17, 2005, at a table in his home in Nederland, and has led it as President ever since. The modern campaign for TEXIT is largely his design. Under his leadership the movement won an independence plank in the Republican Party of Texas platform in 2020, gathered 139,456 petition signatures for a primary ballot question, built the Texas First Pledge for officeholders and candidates, and put the Texas Independence Referendum Act before the Legislature.

He wrote TEXIT: Why and How Texas Will Leave the Union (Defiance Press, 2018), a bestseller, along with Line in the Sand (2011) and The Tethered Sovereign, his book on the 1869 Supreme Court ruling in Texas v. White. He has made the case on Fox, CNN, the BBC, Newsmax and GB News since his first national television appearance in 2009, was featured in Newsweek's 2024 cover story, and hosts Late Night Coffee Talk, a live Q&A with TNM members.

A sixth-generation Texan whose family fought in the Texian Army in 1836, he also founded RFT Media, a technology company that builds AI automation and digital infrastructure for mission-driven organizations.
